Years ago a lady I liked (and claimed like me) stood me up on a date and went out with a co-worker instead. It bothered me a lot because it was not the first time that has happened. It's happened several times in my adult life.Someone says they like me and as soon as they meet someone else,I am "history".It's like when I ask a woman for a date, she says "yes" but as soon as they get another offer, they lose interest. So I fear rejection. The last time hurt not because of the rejection per se but because it was a reminder that I don't measure up. Lastly,my ex-wife divorced me for another man. I have allowed these incidents to have authority over my well being.
